Black Veil Brides Music Review

Oh not so good?

Yay me too! (I mean I’m ok, but you know everyone has issues and things like that so I just thought I address you guys too. Just remember it’s ok to be sad sometimes, you don’t always have to be happy because others expect you to be)

So… Black Veil Brides have recently released two new songs and announced that their new album will come out on Jan 12, 2018. I thought now would be a great time to review them (and wish that I was wearing their cool face paint stuff, because dang Andy Black has style). Here we go!

The first song is The Outsider: I really like the intro (I’ve always loved BVB’s instrumental stuff), and then… The voice of God comes in. AKA Andy’s amazingly beautiful voice. So far I’m 50 seconds in and I’m enjoying myself. Oooooooo and then a little whispery thing happens and they say “Forget the innocent.” Eerie, I like it. Ok so I never like the chorus as much as everything else for BVB songs, I don’t really know why I just don’t. BUT this is getting really, really good. In between the choruses, is amazing because you can really hear Andy’s voice. THEN the bridge, I love their guitar stuff! It’s one of my favorite parts in all of their songs! Ok so overal I really liked this song! I definitely recommend it!

The second song is The Vow: It starts off a little thrasher than I’d usually like, but not too bad so far. Ok so I don’t really like the singing part of it right now, because it’s just so fast. BUT then it sounds like just Andy and you all know how much I like his voice 😍. Then the chorus comes and it’s not bad by any means, but it’s just not something I’m super hyped for. AND THERE’S THE F-BOMB. So I have no problem with cussing in songs, it’s just I’ve always respected the fact that none of their albums were explicit, and now this one is, so I’m kind of sad about that. Overal I didn’t really like this song as much as “The Outsider,” but it wasn’t awful either.

I like the lyrics for both very much (as I do with BVB songs), but I have to admit that I enjoyed “The Outsider” much more then “The Vow.” Please tell me what you think in the comments! Thanks for reading! Have a great day!
